Interlibrary Loan

If you cannot find a title here at the Bluffton Public Library, we may be able to borrow it from another library for you!  To check out items borrowed from other libraries, you must have a valid Bluffton Public Library card that is free of all overdue materials and outstanding fines.  Delivery time for requested items varies.  Some materials arrive in only a few days, while other titles may not be available for several weeks - or even months.

If you need something before a certain date, please request it as far in advance of that date as possible.

You may request two titles at a time.  Depending on the lending library's policies, renewals are sometimes (but not always) permitted.  Overdue fines for items not returned by the due date are $1.00 per day.

Sometimes libraries will not loan certain materials, including rare or very old books as well as items that have many holds.  If the item you request has been released in the current or previous year, it may not be available for several weeks or months.

You may submit requests at the library, over the telephone, or by using the online request form below.
