Kindergarten Readiness: Wed., August 9 & 16 at 11:00 a.m. (R) Come and join 2 sessions of Kindergarten Readiness. In this program we will focus on the alphabet letters and sounds, sight words, numbers and their amount, and handwriting. Children will rotate through stations of each section and get a chance to become familiar with the routine of classes. Register at the library.
Movie in the Stacks: Meet us on the main floor Tues., August 8 at 2 p.m. for a family-friendly movie showing (participants will vote on which one!) All are welcome and no registration is required. Popcorn is provided.
Grand Finale of Summer Read Program: Friday, August 4 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shannon Theatre. Bring your Golden Ticket (given for 5 weeks of reading) and see a PG rated movie. If you did not get all 5 weeks, you can purchase a ticket. Children under 12 years old need a parent/guardian; popcorn/drinks are not included.

Watercolor Workshop: Garden Party (R)($) will be held Thurs., August 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Local artist Jeanne Beutler. There is a $10 supply fee and advance registration is required as space is limited. Open to adults and teens/children (with a participating adult).
