Friends of the Library Book Sale will be held at the library September 14-16 on the library’s lower level. Sale proceeds benefit library services, materials, and programs. Your purchase at this sale goes to enriching Bluffton and the surrounding community.

Mobile Health Clinic: This service has been moved to the second Wednesday of each month.
Chess Night: Tues., Sept. 12 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Does Bluffton wish to start a Chess Club? Stop by with your family and friends for a fun evening of chess. Make new contacts - and perhaps be a part of the potential new Chess Club in the works in Bluffton! Bring your own game or use one of the library’s! Tables will be available for open game play and conversation.
Library will be closed Monday, September 4, 2023 in observance of Labor Day. Due dates are adjusted accordingly.
Play Music on the Porch Day is Saturday,August 26 this year and the Bluffton Public Library is participating at 10:00 a.m. Bring a lawn chair and meet and set up song-circle style near the main entrance (leaving room for patrons to enter and exit).
In case of inclement weather, we will move indoors.
Book Lovers Day Interactive Display - Wed., August 9 is Book Lovers Day, and we want to see what books you love! Stop by the library and place your favorite book in our collection on the display and see what the rest of the community is recommending.
Mobile Health Clinic: Fri., August 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All services are provided by individuals with the Ohio Northern University Healthwise program. This clinic includes free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol (please fast for 12 hours to participate in cholesterol or blood sugar screening) and osteoporosis. Participants may speak with ONU Healthwise students and staff about their results or concerns, and even receive referrals to area doctors.
Board Game Night: Tues., August 15 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Stop by with your family and friends for a fun evening of games - board games, card games, chess, or puzzles. Bring your own game or use one of the library’s! Tables will be available for open game play.
Movie in the Stacks: Meet us on the main floor Tues., August 8 at 2 p.m. for a family-friendly movie showing (participants will vote on which one!) All are welcome and no registration is required. Popcorn is provided.
Grand Finale of Summer Read Program: Friday, August 4 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shannon Theatre. Bring your Golden Ticket (given for 5 weeks of reading) and see a PG rated movie. If you did not get all 5 weeks, you can purchase a ticket. Children under 12 years old need a parent/guardian; popcorn/drinks are not included.
