"The Bluffton We Never Knew" presented by Fred Steiner (Register in advance; space limited)

The Bluffton We Never Knew, presented by Fred Steiner takes you on a photographic journey to a Bluffton of 120-140 years ago and will be held on Tues., July 19 at 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the library Narrated by Fred Steiner, program participants will see dozens of Bluffton photographs by pioneer photographer Will Triplett taken over a period covering 1880-1910. Included are scenes of buildings that no longer exist, people at work as blacksmiths, barbers, hotel owners, oil drillers and teachers. The journey back in time also includes photos of steam locomotives, electric trolleys, parades, sports teams and views of Main Street before the advent of the automobile. Steiner will point out interesting features in the photos and explain their location.
