November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and Bluffton Public Library is proud to be in its fifth year as a "Come Write In" library (2019). The Come Write In program encourages libraries, bookstores, and other community facilities to provide a space for NaNoWriMo participants to attempt their novel-in-a-month projects. Bluffton Public Library has a designated small room on its main floor for writers for the entire month of November.
The room being utilized is The Apple Shed room that used to house The Friends of the Library ongoing books for sale, which have moved to shelving near the Shannon Local History Room and the Nonfiction section. The Apple Shed room is directly to the left when you enter the library's main floor and features a small, cozy atmosphere and lots of natural lighting. If NaNoWriMo participants need more space, they are encouraged to stop by the front desk to receive help finding another space.
Feel free to bring your laptop as there are several outlets in this room, and food is allowed as long as you tidy up when you are done. Should you have any questions or need any assistance, our staff is here to help! Stop by our front desk.
Bluffton Public Library is in the Black Swamp region for NaNoWriMo online forums: https://nanowrimo.org/regions/usa-ohio-black-swamp.
